Ensaiamos

The �鶹�� has a rehearsal space, the Teatro Vidal Bolao theatre on the university campus, which is completely free of charge and equipped with all the necessary equipment for emerging bands or soloists to develop their own musical projects.

The rehearsal space was launched in 2006 with the aim of offering emerging groups from the university community a rehearsal venue and part of the sound equipment.

We seek to offer the university community a service to support musical initiatives, including the incentive of being one of the projects chosen to participate in the Ensaiamos Cosecha concert, a now classic event in the university's spring cultural programme, in which the best group is rewarded for its work with a demo recording.

Rehearsal venue equipment and requirements

For their rehearsals, the groups will have access to basic equipment consisting of a five-piece drum kit, two 100W guitar combo amplifiers, a 150W bass amplifier, a ten-channel mono mixing desk, two auxiliaries and RCA inputs and outputs, as well as two 300W self-powered speakers, four microphones with their respective stands and basic cabling.

The only requirement for participating in the programme is that soloists must belong to the university community (students, teaching staff or administrative and service personnel) and, in the case of groups, at least two of the group members must belong to this community, or three in the case of groups with five or more members. Each group must then designate a representative to communicate and coordinate with the service coordinator, who will also ensure compliance with the rules and good conduct during the activity.

Ensaiamos Festival

The Ensaiamos Cosecha Festival 2019 will be held on 29 April at 5:30 p.m. at the Vidal Bolao Theatre on the Vigo Campus. During the concert, which includes performances by Cayetana, Spleen, and Veintisiete, the winning band will be chosen who will have the opportunity to record a demo.
