Psychological Support

The Psychological Support Programme for Students (PAP-Â鶹¹û¶³) is a service of the Â鶹¹û¶³ aimed at students enrolled in official undergraduate degree programmes who are experiencing emotional difficulties linked to their university experience, such as academic anxiety, stress related to exams or coursework, difficulties adapting to university life, challenges in decision-making, or performance blocks.
It is not a specialised mental health service nor a resource for ongoing psychotherapy, but rather a space for brief and focused support that offers professional care and guidance in a confidential and approachable environment.
The programme responds to the mandate established by Organic Law 2/2023, of 22 March, on the University System (LOSU), which in Article 33 recognises students’ right to mental and emotional health care, and in Article 43 requires universities to provide health and psychological support services.
PAP-Â鶹¹û¶³ is founded on the conviction that students’ psychological well-being is a shared responsibility across the entire university community. Students, teaching and research staff, and technical, management, administrative and support staff all play a fundamental role in the early detection of emotional distress and in guiding students towards the appropriate available resources. Becoming familiar with the programme, its characteristics and how it operates is the first step both for students and for those around them, whether to seek support directly or to make informed referrals when the situation so requires.
