Outgoing teaching and research staff

Members of the teaching staff of the Â鶹¹û¶³ have a series of programmes at their disposal that aim to promote their mobility; they can participate in international cooperation activities or teach through projects organised by collaborating universities.

Erasmus+ Programme

The Erasmus+ ProgrammeÌýoffers the opportunity to carry out a temporary teaching (STA) or training activity (STT) in a higher education centre with countries with which agreements have been signed in Europe or with institutions from non-EU countries: Erasmus+ KA131 and Erasmus+ KA171.Ìý

This opportunity is available to all teaching staff working at the Â鶹¹û¶³. These experiences and exchanges contribute to improving language skills and cultural knowledge of the destination country, in addition to offering a new perspective on pedagogical practices and approaches.

The Erasmus+ KA131 programme allows mobility to be carried out in a higher education institution in Europe or in institutions in non-EU countries with which an agreement has been signed.

The STA modalityÌýallows the Â鶹¹û¶³ teaching staff to travel to teach in the selected country.

In the case of the STT modality, Â鶹¹û¶³ staff may carry out training activities in foreign institutions. During the visit staff will be able to meet their counterparts, discover other teaching and learning modalities and different university systems, and hold interviews with the students sent by the Â鶹¹û¶³ or with the future students who will be received.

This mobility can be carried out independently or combined (STA+STT).

The Erasmus+ KA171 programme allows mobility in a higher education institution in non-EU countries.

The places and opportunities available vary according to each call.

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are short-term intensive programmes that are part of the new Erasmus+ Programme 2021/2027 and use innovative learning and teaching methods, including online collaborative working.

By allowing new and more flexible mobility formats that combine physical mobility with a virtual component, intensive blended programmes aim to reach all types of participants, from any background, field of study and cycle.

Each Erasmus+ BIP is organised by a group of at least 3 universities from 3 different countries.

In this case, the teaching staff can participate in combined teaching stays (STA) and/or training stays (STT) and may also have the opportunity to present a proposal to coordinate a BIP with other universities.

Other programmes

The main objective of the Iacobus programme is to promote cooperation and exchange between the human resources of higher education centres in the Galicia-Northern Portugal Euroregion (teaching and research staff, and technical, administrative and services staff), facilitating the sharing of training, research and dissemination activities.

This Euroregion initiative is a pioneer in Europe and the GNP, and is managed by the EGTC.ÌýÌý
